Well it’s bad

I have had the V Lux 40 for 11 years now, and I love taking it on bicycling trips over Europe. The photos are amazing and I get a kick out of it stitching 4 to 8 photos in the above 50 mm lens position to form panoramas with PTGui software. Thay are unreal ! Leica perfect. (Jun 2024)

My 1st camera was a Kodak Box Brownie as a kid. In Jr High, I used the school's Yashika Mat124G as the yearbook photographer. High school I got a Pentax SL, eventually the ME Super jumped to digital about 20 years ago going thru a series of Pentax DSLR's. I now use 2 K1MKII'S to shoot airshows and a 645Z for studio work. I'm about to order the new K17 half frame 35mm. My dream camera would be a K1MKIII with a faster AF and FPS rate .

Do you have ideas for table top? For staging bottling of hand made products?

Terrific video! When light painting, are you also lighting the scene with the stationary LED?

I have both of them. The 4 mini is the one I take with me when I am hiking or riding my bike. I could care less about the vertical shooting so it is of no concern. It does not do nearly as well in the wind and it is a bit flimsy, but I understand it has to be so to keep the 250 g weight limit. I very much enjoy the 70 mm lens. It is much better than the digital zoom. I did not know how much I would use it until I had it available. The quality is much better regarding the build, but of course it is heavier as well. I think they both have a used case depending what you wish to do with it

I have two of everything it feels like. Since I wear a dual camera harness, I have two camera bodies and a third camera as a back up. I’d like to shoot with a 35 mm F1.4 and 85 mm F1.4. I have two godox v1’s and a 3rd just in case. Plenty of SD cards. I also use my 70-200 F 2.8 for during the ceremony so I don’t have to get so close and the guests during the ceremony. I used to have a macro lens, but my 35 mm F1 .4 has such a short focal distance it does a phenomenal job as a macro. On bright sunny days I bring my two ad600’s for outside portraits of the bridal party and the couples photos. If it’s not a real sunny day, I usually have two ad200’s and the dual adapter plate in case I need more than 200 W. Occasionally when it’s a small wedding and venue, I break out the 24-70 F2 .8. I always have my little collapsible wagon that I throw my lightstands and lights when me and the bride and groom go off to take their photos. Would I recommend to a new photographer is to sit down and go over with the bride and groom with their vision is for their wedding day. Take notes if you have to make sure you know the itinerary for the day. Always properly expose your photos. I made that mistake in the beginning, thinking the editing would brighten up a dark photo but once the photo is too dark, you’re just exposing all the noise in the shadows. Always carry batteries and SD cards on you. I always recommend having two cameras on you with a dual harness. I had a battery grip malfunction right during the bridal party photos and in a split second I grabbed the other camera switched lenses and was back to shooting in less than 30 seconds. Have fun and always smile. Even if something bad happens try to make the best out of it even if it’s nothing to do with photography. Try to help out and that little bit will go along way with your clients.

Can it connect to a midi controller to play styles? Do you know if we have any software or device that could allow us to connect to a midi keyboard controller to play styles like the Yamaha PRS for OMB?

Take your camera everywhere and find something to photograph and practice shooting, i would say is my favourite advice. Also lots of good technical advice from good professionals on RUclips for techniques on different photography genres

"You're shooting memories, not a magazine cover." Good way to look at it. The only thing I would add is to secure your gear as best you can. You can't carry all of your gear all of the time so you'll have to leave it somewhere. If you leave it out in the open, the bride and groom might not be the only ones shedding a few tears.

Mostly over processed and contrived, they are really just B&W paintings in the end. Analog was "taking" a photo vs Digital which is just creating an image.

Went to buy a Nikon FE…. Ended up getting a used Nikon F that they had for a good. Not sure I currently have a dream camera. Shooting Nikon Z9’s and a Z8 along with Fuji GFX 100ii. Now, if you want to talk lenses 😂
